CROCK POT OATMEAL

2 1/2 cups water
1 cup regular rolled oats oats
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 cup diced peaches
1/2 cup diced pears

Cook overnight on low setting. Serve with soy milk.  Sweetening is not necessary because the fruit ads enough sweetness for most people.

If porridge just isn't your idea of breakfast at any time of the year, how about some nice warm muffins fresh from the oven to go with that morning coffee.  They only take a minute to whip up and you can have the dry ingredients all ready to go the night before. In the morning just mix in the wet stuff, mix and bake.  Or some fresh granola made the day before?  If it still isn't something you think you'd like, try the rice breakfast pudding.  When my kids were little this was the favoured breakfast.  Serve it warm and top with a bit of homemade strawberry jam.  It's great.
