SAUCY BAKED TOFU WITH HERB BISCUITS
½ package (2.75-ounce size) onion soup mix (1 envelope)
1 can (10 3/4 ounces) condensed cream of mushroom soup
1 cup water
2 lbs extra firm tofu cut into thick strips
2 1/4 cups Bisquick original baking mix
2/3 cup milk
1 teaspoon dried parsley flakes
Press all the extra moisture out of the tofu that you can. Cut
into thick 6 thick strips. HEAT oven to 400 degrees. Mix onion soup
mix (dry), soup and water in ungreased rectangular pan, 13x9x2 inches.
Place tofu in soup mixture; spoon soup mixture over tofu. Cover with aluminum
foil and bake 20 minutes turning tofu over after 10 minutes. MIX remaining
ingredients until soft dough forms; beat 30 seconds. Drop by 12 spoonfuls
onto tofu and gravy. BAKE uncovered 15 minutes longer or until biscuits
are light brown. 6 servings.
