2 1/3 cups Bisquick
1/4 cup sugar
3 tablespoons cocoa
½ cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
Chocolate Glaze
½ cup chocolate chips
1 tablespoon shortening
Preheat oven to 425 degrees F.
In medium bowl, mix Bisquick, sugar, cocoa, milk and vanilla until
soft dough forms. Shape into a ball and knead 10 times. Roll dough
out ½ inch thick on surface that has been dusted with Bisquick.
Cut with 2 ½-inch doughnut cutter. Place doughnuts 2 inches apart
onto ungreased baking sheet. Bake 8 minutes or until set. Cool slightly
and then glaze. Sprinkle nonpareils onto doughnuts, if desired.
Chocolate Glaze: Melt chocolate chips and shortening in heavy 1 quart saucepan over low heat. Stir occasionally until mixture is melted. Pour glaze over baked doughnuts. Makes 9 doughnuts.
