BISQUICK DONUTS
2 cups Bisquick
1/4 cup sugar
1/3 cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 egg
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg (optional)
shortening for frying
sugar
Heat fryer to 375 degrees. Mix ingredients until well blended. Turn
onto lightly floured surface; knead about 10 times. Roll out 3/8" thick.
Cut with floured donut cotter. Fry until golden brown, about one minute
each side. When done, drain on a paper towel. Makes about 12 donuts. (If
you don’t have a donut cutter, drop batter by teaspoonfuls into fryer.)
Roll donuts in sugar.
